Help FSACF Keep 5 in Kansas

The Kansas Association of Community Foundations (KACF) and its member foundations, including the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation, has launched the Keep 5 in Kansas campaign.

The Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State University found that an estimated $79 billion in estate wealth will be transferred from one generation of Kansans to the next from 2010 to 2020.

The Keep 5 in Kansas campaign asks every Kansan to designate a portion of their estates — as little as five percent — to their communities by setting up funds at a community foundation, such as the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation. If everyone designates five percent of their estate to the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation, the interest can create a permanent source of funding for local charities.
